How to syndicate

One of the things about blogs that many people haven't caught up with is how easy it is to get updates and syndicate the content to your own "newspaper" that updates itself during the day. By installing a special "reader" that can syndicate blog-feeds (and other feeds) you get live updates as things are updated during the day. You can make your own little "newspaper" by collecting the blogs, news-sources and other information on the net into one readable interface. This little guide will demonstrate how to install the lightweight Sage RSS Reader in Firefox with a few clicks.

Sage

Sage's homepage explains some of the basics of Sage. Go to the installation page and follow the instructions (basically, click to install, restart firefox.

I recommend adding Sage to your toolbar, which is easy, right-click the toolbar and select customize. drag the Sage icon onto your toolbar and press OK. Now you can start Sage easily by clicking this button.

In sage there are basically two buttons, one to search the active page for RSS-feeds and one to reload all feeds to check for updates. If you search on the Boblycat page you will get a few alternatives. Just select "Add feed" (or the plus-button) and at least one feed will show up; Boblycat - one bubble at a time, with RSS v2 as format. select it and click "Add feed" and then Close. The feed should now be in the window under and you can browse it easily.

Check out other blogs and add them too :)
